In January, IRWA CEO Mark Rieck joined IRWA Mexico
Chapter 85 leadership to conduct a round of meetings
with government officials there. Chapter 85 has partnered
with SEDATU—Mexico’s Ministry of Agrarian, Territorial
and Urban Development—to create a mediation program
designed to support energy reform in that country.
The team also met with leadership from the National
Agency for Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection
of the Hydrocarbons Sector—better known as the Agency
for Safety, Energy and Environment, a decentralized
administrative body of the Ministry for Environment
and Natural Resources. Another meeting was held with
CENAGAS, the new midstream management arm created
as part of Mexico’s Energy Reform Program.
